Prime Ministry launches sectoral sessions to prepare EMV second executive programme

Amman, 23 August 2025 (Jordan Times)- The Prime Ministry on Saturday launched a series of specialised sectoral sessions to advance preparations for the second executive programme of Jordan’s Economic Modernisation Vision (EMV) (2026–2029).

Prime Minister Jafar Hassan participated in the sessions, which brought together ministers, lawmakers, experts and representatives from both the public and private sectors. The meetings follow workshops hosted in July by the Royal Hashemite Court that reviewed progress on the first phase of the vision (2023–2025).

Four sessions covered tourism, energy, water, and investment, with participants working to identify sector priorities and translate them into actionable projects with clear timelines and measurable performance indicators.

Officials said the process ensures alignment with national growth drivers and strengthens the vision’s impact on both the economy and citizens’ lives. The sessions would continue until September 6 to develop the second executive programme interactively, ensuring each sector’s priorities are addressed and translated into well-defined projects and initiatives.

Participants emphasised the importance of involving all sectors, particularly the private sector, which plays a key role in setting priorities and implementing programmes and projects.

Discussions also covered major projects for the second phase, building on the outputs and initiatives of the first phase, while ensuring coordination between government entities and relevant sectors for integrated execution.

The government highlighted that the initiative reflects its commitment to the timely implementation of the vision, supporting sustainable economic growth, attracting investment, fostering innovation, and improving the quality of life for Jordanians.
